Named after the Japanese word for a regular wooden pencil, Enpitsu mechanical pencils combine the simple elegance of a wooden pencil with the convenience of a mechanical pencil.

This Kokuyo Enpitsu is designed for simplicity, letting you get to work as soon as it's in your hand. It does away with small, easy-to-lose eraser caps, instead using a streamlined loading mechanism to ensure that lead doesn't fall out. To install a piece of lead, simply drop it into the lead chamber through the hole at the top of the pencil. Even when the pencil is turned upside down, its inner mechanism prevents the lead from falling out!

To remove spare pieces of lead, unscrew the pencil's nose cone and shake the lead out from the clear plastic shaft.
