Why the Name?
"Grumpy Nook" reflects a blend of retro charm and personal origin — “Grumpy” nods to the sassy yet heartfelt characters Maisah adored growing up, while “Nook” recalls the snug corner of her childhood bedroom where the brand began — surrounded by sketchbooks, art supplies, and a growing love for paper.

A Personal Inspiration
Maisah’s stationery passion began with her father’s affection for fountain pens and family visits to stationery shops. That early spark for pens evolved into a deep appreciation for paper’s textures, colors, and creative possibilities — a source of inspiration still at the heart of her designs today.
